The Vosteed Raccoon features a 3.25’’ drop point blade with simple geometry. 14C28N blade steel offers excellent in-class corrosion resistance and toughness and is easy to sharpen. A 3:1 blade length and width ratio, a nice belly, and a comfortable choil, make the Raccoon an excellent choice for EDC use.
The Raccoon A0539 sports an aesthetically-pleasing copper dune finished blade, and a cross-bar lock that is a well-packed solid construction. Combined with its dual thumb-studs deployment, caged ceramic ball bearings, and a well-tuned detent, the Raccoon can be opened and closed with a silky smooth and snappy action.
The 4.36″ handle offers a decent grip and an excellent blade-to-handle ratio. The well-chamfered Micarta makes the handle a joy to hold and the handle shape is great for both normal grip and choke-up grip. It comes with a reversible pocket clip, the height of the clip is increased to accommodate thicker jeans/pants.
