Marys Sleeping

The National Crime Information Center notes over 5,000 cases of missing Native American women and girls are filed annually. A friend of mine, Mary Ellen Davis-Johnson, was one of them. She went missing in 2020 and her remains were found recently off Fire Trail Road in Tulalip. This new collection will be called "Mary’s Sleeping" in honor of her and in hopes of bringing awareness to this epidemic
